Dr. Chuntian Wu was born in 1964 in Liaoning Province of China. He graduated from Beijing University in 1987, received his Ph.D. of Science from Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences in 2004, and became an Associate Professor in DICP in 2005. Dr. Wu’s main research interests include applied catalysis and new structured catalytic materials. As a main researcher Dr. Wu finished the international cooperation project “Ford China Rare-earth Oxide Catalyst Research and Development Program” and other research projects supported by the institute and industrial enterprises, such as “The selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 using monolith honeycomb catalysts ”, “The research and development of three-way catalysts composed of rare oxide and reduced amount of noble metals for automobile emission control” etc. As a postgraduate he took part in and finished a part of the research work of the international project “Science for Peace” No. 971897 - “Properties of liquid phase hydrogenation reactions of aromatic nitro compounds over fiber glass woven catalysts doped by noble metals”. From 2005, he engages in the research work on catalytic decomposition of nontoxic propellants , catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon fuels, micro-propulsion system and novel monolith catalytic materials etc.
