Prof. Yu Cong was born in 1969 in Heilongjiang Province of China. She received her BSc and MSc Degree in Chemical Process from Dalian University of Technology in 1992 and 1995 respectively. She graduated in 1999 and obtained her PhD Degree in Physical Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She was promoted to full professor in 2007. She ever made short-term academic visits to City University of Hong Kong, Cardiff University, and Poitiers University. Professor Cong’s main research interests involve the synthesis of high performance hydrocarbon fuels and their catalytic applications . She is the author or coauthor of over 60 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and 80 patents.
Research Interests:
☆ Synthesis of hydrocarbon fuels and fuel additives, including high energy fuel, high thermally stable fuel, etc.
☆ Catalytic cracking and catalytic reforming of hydrocarbon fuels.
☆ Catalytic production of hydrogen via the WGS reaction.
